Pelatihan Penulisan Karya Tulis Berbahasa Inggris Bagi Mahasiswa Anggota Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Lucknow, India

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the English writing skills of students who are the members of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Lucknow, India. The implementation of this community service program (PkM) is carried out in the form of training in writing scientific papers in English for the members of PPI Lucknow, India. This training was held on Thursday, 18 May 2023 which was attended by 10 participants. The implementers of this community service activities are three lecturers and two students who have competence in writing scientific papers in English. This training was carried out using lecture, discussion, and question and answer (Q&A) methods. In this activity, three materials were presented online, including 1) theory of scientific writing in general, 2) strategies and techniques for writing scientific papers in English, 3) practicing the application of strategies and techniques for writing scientific papers in English. The participants in this training workshop have actively and enthusiastically participated in this activity, so that the training process can run conducively and successfully. As an outcome of this training, PPI Lucknow members are expected to be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained during this PkM activity to produce quality scientific papers.
