Upaya Pemberian Dukungan Psikologis dalam Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Diri pada Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus di SLB Dharmasari Bandar Lampung

Abstract

This community service aims to increase self-confidence in children with special needs. The target in this activity is all children with special needs at SLB Dharmasari Bandar Lampung. In the process of increasing the self-confidence of children with special needs, a form of in-depth understanding of the external and internal factors that influence this is required. There needs to be collaboration between the service team and the ABK assistants at SLB Dharmasari Bandar Lampung. The service activities were attended by all children with special needs and companions at SLB Dharmasari Bandar Lampung. This service activity is carried out using the method of discussion, psychoeducation, and direct assistance to children with special needs. The results of this activity show that 1. The role of special companions in providing psychological support can foster the confidence of children with special needs; 2. Children with special needs at SLB Dharmasari gain experience and new skills in building their self-confidence; 3. Through guidance and counseling as well as collaboration with other parties, it can help foster the confidence of children with special needs.
