Abstract

One of the purposes of learning English is to have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Communication in written form can be improved through learning writing skills. This skill is still considered difficult for students who are learning English. As a solution to motivate students to learn writing skills by using peer editing technique. The target of the implementation of this service activity is the teachers of English language studies at SMK Dharma Utama Sidomulyo. This service activity was held on December 15, 2017 which was attended by 20 participants including 17 students and 3 teachers in the field of English studies. The results obtained are (1) this counseling provides knowledge about peer editing writing techniques in the form of explanations and stages of using the technique in learning activities (2) the teachers also had the opportunity to use peer editing techniques in real guided by the service team involving 17 students in the practice.
