Penguatan Literasi Berbasis Sejarah Lokal Pada Peserta Didik di SMP “A” Kesuma Bangsa Lampung Selatan

The social studies subject is a strategic lesson to be able to introduce the surrounding environment, especially in getting to know the local history of the students' area. Many local historical events occurred but not many participants were educated. This is due to students' lack of literacy in studying local history (Lampung history). The development of local history-based literacy must also be optimized in order to increase understanding of the local wisdom of each region, especially for students. Apart from being able to master national history, students must also understand and recognize historical events in the surrounding environment. Therefore, one solution to increase local history literacy is to carry out community service with the title Strengthening Local History-Based Literacy in Students at SMP "A" Kesuma Bangsa South Lampung. This service activity was carried out on May 16 2024 and took place at SMP "A" Kesuma Bangsa South Lampung. Based on the evaluation, the results and benefits obtained from this service activity included providing knowledge and literacy understanding of local history (Lampung) in social studies learning at SMP "A" Kesuma Bangsa South Lampung.
