Workshop Pendidikan Demokrasi Pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris IPS IAIN Metro

Abstract

Democracy education has a big role in shaping the character of good and smart citizens. Efforts to internalize democratic education continue to be carried out in the social science education program on IAIN Metro through curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. This is done in line with the weakening experience of student democracy in family, community, national and state life. This workshop activity is one of the efforts to increase the democratic awareness students of social science education program on IAIN Metro. This activity uses socialization and training methods that involve students actively in discussions, questions and answers, case studies and simulations. The result of this service activity is an increase in democratic awareness of students of the social science education program on IAIN Metro as well as an increase in attitudes and behavior skills in applying democracy in family life, as a nation and state. This is evidenced by the increase in the pre-test and post-test scores by 30.5%.
