Pelatihan Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Inggris Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Merbau Mataram Lampung Selatan

Abstract

SMPN 1 Merbau Mataram is one of junior high school located in Merbau Mataram, Tanjung Bintang, Lampung Selatan. Knowing the importance of English in this 4.0 industry revolution era, it is a need for the educators to hold workshop in order to increase students’ speaking skill for students of this school, especially grade VIII. Due to the data that shows the less motivation of the students and the low speaking skill of students drive the service team’s interest as educators and initiative to do the workshop. The program is aimed to facilitate the students of SMPN 1 Merbau Mataram in order to develop their English, especially English speaking skill. By this workshop, the students are hoped to be able to increase their speaking skill to be better. This activity was followed by 34 students. The observation done during the program reveals that the activity ran well and smoothly.
