Student delinquency is a behavior that is raised by students who are in adolescence that violate applicable norms and can harm themselves or harm others especially if done in a school environment. This study was conducted against the background of student delinquency problems that often occur in SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh and this study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services with group discussion techniques to reduce the delinquency of class XI students at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. This type of research is experimental quantitative research. In experimental research, researchers used Pre-Experimental Designs with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design method. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and questionnaires in the form of a Likert scale with a population of 90 students and sample selection using purposive sampling as many as 10 students who experienced high levels of student delinquency. This study uses Paired Sample t-test to analyze data with results that indicate that there are differences in the delinquency of class XI students before and after providing group guidance services with group discussion techniques at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh as evidenced by the results of a hypothesis test that is Sig, 000 < 0.05 so that Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there are differences in student delinquency before and after treatment and group guidance services with effective group discussion techniques to reduce the delinquency of class XI students in SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh.
