Peningkatan Kemampuan Mahasiswa dalam Menulis Email dan Pesan Profesional melalui Sosialisasi Etiket Komunikasi Formal

Abstract

The ability to write professional emails and messages has become a crucial skill in the professional and academic worlds. This community service activity aims to enhance students' formal communication skills through email and short messages. The activity was conducted in June 2025 and involved 30 sixth and eighth semester students from STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. These students came from two study programs: English Language Education and History Education. Through socialization, simulation, and practical evaluation methods, students were equipped with an understanding of professional email structure, the differences between formal and informal language, and digital communication etiquette appropriate to the Indonesian cultural context. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and application of formal communication principles.
