Penyuluhan Anti Bullying Bagi Siswa SMPN 4 Terbanggi Besar

Bullying is a serious issue in the school environment that negatively affects students’ psychological, social, and academic development. This anti-bullying outreach program aimed to improve students’ understanding at SMPN 4 Terbanggi Besar regarding the concept of bullying, its forms, contributing factors, and the impacts on victims, perpetrators, and the overall school climate. In addition, the program sought to foster empathy, legal and moral awareness, as well as students’ ability to prevent and appropriately respond to bullying behavior. The method employed was participatory outreach using an educative and communicative approach through interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies, and question-and-answer sessions. The materials were delivered using visual presentation media and contextual examples relevant to students’ daily lives. Program effectiveness was evaluated through observation of student participation and pre- and post-outreach questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in students’ understanding of the definition, types, and impacts of bullying, rising from 26% prior to the program to over 86% after the outreach. Moreover, students demonstrated positive attitude changes, indicated by increased awareness of mutual respect, rejection of violent behavior, and greater courage to report bullying incidents.
