Abstract

The aim of this activity is to improve vocational high school students' English vocabulary mastery through the using of the Duolingo app as a technology-based learning media. Vocabulary mastery is a crucial aspect of English learning, particularly for vocational high school (SMK) students preparing to enter the workforce. However, lack of learning interest and limited learning media often hinder students' vocabulary development. The activity's implementation method included preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed that using the Duolingo app increased students' learning motivation and helped them enrich their English vocabulary independently and enjoyably. Therefore, the Duolingo app can be used as an alternative media for English vocabulary learning in vocational high schools.
