National curriculum changes require Indonesian language teachers at the senior high school level to develop teaching modules oriented toward deep learning, emphasizing conceptual understanding, connections across learning materials, reasoning, and problem-solving. However, initial observations indicate that most teachers still use conventional teaching modules focused primarily on completing learning materials. This community service activity aimed to improve teachers’ understanding and skills in developing deep learning-based teaching modules through training, mentoring, and hands-on practice. The activity was conducted in four stages: needs analysis, training, module development mentoring, and evaluation and reflection. The participants were 28 Indonesian language teachers from several partner schools. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding, with the mean pre-test score improving from 54.2 to 86.7 on the post-test. In addition, 12 teaching modules were produced and revised according to deep learning principles. Participant satisfaction was categorized as very good, with a mean score of 4.6 out of 5. The activity was effective in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence and has the potential to serve as a model for sustainable professional development.
