Pelatihan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Guru di SD IT Baitul Jannah Bandar Lampung

Abstract

Character is the foundation of soft skills that can support one's success. Character must be instilled in every human being as early as possible and built continuously. Character formation is a shared responsibility, as the foundation for facing the industrial and digital revolution. One of the means of character building is through education, where the goal is to form civilized resources. Character education aims to form, build, and hone comprehensive self-improvement, in order to shape individual abilities. For this reason, it is important to strengthen character education for educators so that they can create graduates with character personalities. Training on strengthening teacher character education was carried out for SD IT Baitul Jannah Bandar Lampung teachers, with the aim of strengthening teacher character education in order to prepare students as early as possible to excel in personality, and to meet the demands of being able to produce graduates who are strong in moral, spiritual, and moral values, of course in science. This activity was carried out in April 2022, in order to prepare a golden generation that is able to maintain Indonesian culture in the midst of increasingly rapid developments in technology and times. The activity was attended by 20 participants, which showed that character education strengthening training was able to increase the role of teachers in creating students with superior character in moral, spiritual, scientific values, and able to maintain Indonesian culture.
