Abstract

The development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) today has reached such a rapid level. The development and modernity of science and technology has had such a large impact on the world of education. The use of audio-visual media in history learning is a common thing to make learning more interesting. With interesting history learning, the enthusiasm of students in learning will also increase. The ability to think critically is one of the most important aspects in the history learning process. With this ability students will be able to decipher facts, detail, and think logically, and be able to provide arguments in the learning process. This study aims to: 1) analyze and describe the history learning media used so far at SMA Angkasa Adisutjipto; 2) developing audio-visual media based on the history of Adisutjipto's struggle to improve the critical thinking skills of high school students Adiguna Bandar Lampung; 3) testing the effectiveness of audio-visual media based on the history of Adisutjipto's struggle which was applied at SMA Adiguna Bandar Lampung
This development research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model from Molenda. This research model consists of five stages, which consist of Analysis (Analysis), Design (Product design), Development (Product development), Implementation (Implementation), and Evaluation (Evaluation). The feasibility test model in this study uses a Likert scale model of 1 to 5, and the effectiveness test uses the Independent Sample T Test using SPSS.
The results of the T Test of the Pre-Test and Post-Test experimental class with a value of 3.485 with a significance of 0.790> 0.05. This shows that the use of learning media improves student achievement. Based on the results of the effectiveness test of students' critical attitudes in learning history, the value was 0.159 with a significance value of 0.035 <0.05. This shows that the results of the experimental class before and after using the media are not the same. So that audio-visual media based on the history of Adisutjipto's struggle is proven to be effective in increasing students' critical attitude in learning history.
