Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the 2013 curriculum for biology at SMA YP UNILA. Evaluative research is a type of research conducted. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusions, while data collection techniques are carried out through document studies, observations, and interviews. The research subjects included school principals, vice principals for curriculum, biology teachers, and students. The validity of the data is guaranteed by using source triangulation and triangulation methods. Evaluation of the implementation of the Biology subject curriculum in 2013 has referred to Permendikbud No. 22 of 2016 concerning process standards for primary and secondary education, but there are still some deficiencies, including: 1) in design planning, the preparation of material is not sequential, analytical, related to actual conditions; 2) in assessing the performance of biology teachers, they refer to standards that are directed at aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation, and there are no gaps; 3) the process of implementing material delivery is not sequential, analytical, related to actual conditions, and the preliminary, core and closing activities are not carried out optimally; 4) on learning outcomes an authentic assessment has been carried out on the teaching and learning process which involves cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, but affective assessment only involves outstanding students. Recommendations that need to be made are to improve the design, process and results so that the implementation is in accordance with established standards.
