This writing attempts to describe and analyze; (1) Profile of Soekarno's Wives during the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia (2) Contribution of Sukarno's wives during the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This research is useful to increase historical knowledge and understanding of the profile and contribution of Soekarno's wives during the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as to increase love for Indonesian history
This research is a type of qualitative research with historical research methods. This study has 4 steps, namely: (1) Heuristics, (2) Criticism, (3) Interpretation, (4) Historiography.
The data collection technique is the library method used to dig up information and to obtain data sources obtained from libraries and primary sources, namely Fatmawati's books. And using a qualitative descriptive historical data analysis technique that emphasizes not the form of numbers but their form in writing.
The results of this study are; (1) Profile of Soekarno's wives during the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 1920-1945, (2) Contribution of Sukarno's wives in the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the contribution of Siti Oetari, Inggit Garnasih and Fatmawati in very difficult times and great sacrifices for the ideals of Indonesian independence
