Authorship Criteria

IJLHE: International Journal of Language, Humanities, and Education adopts authorship criteria adapted from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Eligibility for Authorship

Every author must satisfy all four requirements:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the study’s conception or design, or to collecting, analysing, or interpreting its data.

  2. Draft the manuscript or critically revise its intellectual content.

  3. Approve the final manuscript for publication.

  4. Accept accountability for the work and cooperate in investigating and resolving concerns about its accuracy or integrity.

Everyone who meets these requirements must be included as an author. Contributors who satisfy the first requirement must have an opportunity to participate in manuscript preparation and approval.

Contributions and Acknowledgements

Submissions must include an author contribution statement. Funding, administrative support, general supervision, or language editing alone does not qualify someone for authorship. Other contributions should be acknowledged with the contributor’s permission. Guest, honorary, and ghost authorship are prohibited.

Author Order and Correspondence

Authors must agree on their order before submission. The corresponding author coordinates communication with the journal and confirms that all authors approve the submission.

Changes and Disputes

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors require an explanation and written agreement from all affected authors, subject to editorial review. Unresolved authorship disputes should be referred to the relevant institutions for investigation.

Artificial Intelligence

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors must disclose their use and remain responsible for the submitted content.
